SOS Company applies to the Transition & Change Management (T&CM) principles and methodology, which are particularly useful in a period of crisis and when measures taken by management have not delivered the expected solutions and results.
The T&CM process is composed of a number of steps that allow reaching the clear identification of the issues, followed by the implementation of solutions and corrective actions.
DIAGNOSIS
It requires a lot of experience and listening ability to understand how an organisation really operates and where the malfunctions are. It is imperative that the diagnosis be performed by an “outsider”: somebody able to have a bird’s eye view, looking at the company and the issues “from above”. The SOS Company will not be trapped in the “regular” way of thinking that is common in many companies and which leads to do things in the way it has always been done. It may be very hard for people inside the company to see outside of their comfort zone. The diagnosis makes a clear distinction between the real problem and its consequences.
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
The solution derives directly from the clear diagnosis which allows implementation of the proper corrective actions. There is no space for pre-packaged solutions; only custom made ones are provided. In fact the corrective actions are defined together with the client. The interactive support of Beraca allows concrete responsiveness to the client’s needs. Those actions are incorporated into a coherent Action Plan.
ENGAGE EVERYONE
When the diagnosis and the action plan are clearly defined, the time comes to further intensify the communication within the organisation. The objective is to validate and endorse the diagnosis and get the entire organisation on board. Communication is not to be confused with passive informing and is essential to avoid the usual and often fierce resistances to change. The organisation wants and must be engaged. All employees are interested in the solution.
IMPLEMENT
The implementation is the responsibility of the management with the interactive support of Beraca. The methodology applied leads to a coherent process. Resistances to change, which are common and natural, are largely minimized. This is a very beneficial feature of the Transition & Change management methodology and process. No more waste of energies!!
